Since 2010, Providence Student Union has organized high school students in Providence, RI to lead their own fight for better education and well-being in their schools and communities.

Chapter Organizer

We’re looking for a creative and consistent organizer who can coordinate PSU’s in-school chapter meetings of student members.

The Chapter Organizer will:

  • oversee Chapter Coordinators and youth Delegates (student leaders at each school)

  • ensure PSU is meeting our student membership and engagement goals

  • coordinate regular full-membership meetings of students and staff

Training Organizer

PSU’s Training Organizer will be in the exciting role of coordinating learning and leadership development workshops for hundreds of high school students. The Training Organizer will have a critical role in advancing PSU’s mission by ensuring our membership have the skills they need to lead the organization and our campaigns. Responsibilities include:

  • recruiting students for, and facilitate, a membership Training Team

  • coordinating frequent Member Orientations, in conjunction with PSU staff

  • overseeing development of PSU training and workshop curricula

  • scheduling, managing logistics for, and recruiting for at least a dozen trainings/workshops per month
