Happy Holidays Everyone!


We’re one month away from starting a New Year and this is very exciting as PSU has an amazing year ahead of us full of opportunities and fun events for you! For now, lets keep in the present and show this months events. Remember to check the very bottom in the “Reminder” section for WEEKLY events and about our Well-Being clothing drive. This holiday season we want to give back to our community and it can’t be done without your help. Lets share the word, and our kindness by dropping gently worn clothes at PSU office for this holiday season. To keep a nice cheer, PSU is excitedly hosting a holiday party! Upcoming Events

Well-being Drive (Holiday Season)
@741 Westminster St. Providence (PSU Office)
This holiday season, we are hosting a clothing drive! You, your friends, family, anyone, can help by dropping off your gently worn items at our office. Our goal is to provide for our students and community and appreciate any donations- please spread the word

Civics Case Hearing (Thursday the 5th)
10am @Providence Student Union Office For More Info! Or contact us on our social media
As you may know, PSU has partnered with multiple organizations in RI to sue the state for a “right to civics education”. The first hearing is this Thursday and we’d love if YOU- the students, joined us! Invite one or all, this is an open event.

Cardboard Pancakes (Saturday the 7th)
10am-5pm @705 Westminster St. Providence
Lets support local youth businesses this holiday season with New Urban Arts in their annual holiday sale!

PSU Mailing Party (Tuesday the 10th)
4:30pm-6:30pm @Providence Student Union
Volunteers Needed (community service hours available)! Come join our mailing party to support our end of the year fundraising efforts, food will be provided.

PSU Holiday Party (Friday the 13th)
3pm-5pm @Providence Student Union
On this spooky, yet festive day, we invite you to watch with us “A Nightmare Before Christmas”. Snacks will be provided, we hope to see you there! Feel free to invite others :)

Jayson’s Birthday! (Friday the 20th)
Jayson is one of our newer PSU staff members as he is the Leadership Team Director. We appreciate all the years he has been with us and love seeing his growth and accomplishments! We’re very proud of your win for the National Young Arts Award in Photography and we’re excited to see how you continue to grow within PSU.

PSU Newsletter: November

Hello Students!


With another month down, another month comes up with new events! A new section for the newsletter has been added which will be at the bottom. This new section is meant to be a reminder for any WEEKLY events. To add on, any flyers related to any of the events will be added down below. Feel free to share them on your social media and tag PSU! Speaking of sharing with friends, the holiday season of getting and giving is coming up! PSU is very excited to be hosting a clothing drive with the goal of helping our students and community and hope you’re just as excited to be able to help. More information is available in the “Upcoming Event” section.

Before you read further, let’s welcome a new staff member!

He will be organizing and directing our youth leadership team, this team contains our organization’s strongest youth voice that will plan events and make executive decisions. Jayson will provide them with the resources and skills for them to organize effectively and powerfully!

Aleita’s Birthday! (Friday, November 1st)
Aleita is a PSU alumni and staff who currently works as a chapter coordinator. We appreciate all the years she has been with us and continues to do and we’re excited to see what will happen in the future. We wish her a happy birthday and you should too!

Daylight Saving Time Ends (Sunday, November 3rd)
Set those clocks an hour back (at 2 am)!

Zack’s Birthday! (Tuesday, November 5th)
Zack is a PSU staff and is executive director as well as the founder of PSU. He has been with PSU through it’s thick and thin moments and appreciate all the energy and work he has put into it. We appreciate the many youth that he has helped and mentored and wish him a happy birthday. If you see him, say a quick happy birthday!

Veterns Day (Monday, November 11th)

“Living Undocumented” movie screening and workshop (Thursday the 14th)
4pm-5:30pm @ Providence Student Union Office
A screening of the Netflix docuseries and workshop discussing the struggles of being undocumented in the United States and its immigration series.

Thanksgiving Day (Thursday, November 28th)
Happy Thanksgiving! The office will be closed the Thursday of and following Friday. Have a great Thanksgiving and happy weekend.

Hello Students!

With the new school year already a month down, Providence Student Union is happy to announce the revival of the PSU Newsletter! The PSU newsletter is an informational monthly newsletter that’ll include events such as meetings, workshops, conferences, festivities, and opportunities. They’ll be sent on the first Monday of every month in your emails and available on the Providence Student Union website.

PRONK Festival (Monday the 14th)

PVD Pedestrian Bridge (365 Water St. Providence)
PRONK is a festival to protest Columbus Day and celebrate the indigenous and Providence people along with their culture. With food, music, entertainers, and community organization booths, it’s going to be a great time! Meet us there!

Healthy Relationship Workshop (Monday the 21st)
